Starting my first post of the year with a travel story. I have never really spoken about my love for traveling. I’m someone who loves traveling & this year I wish to range over beautiful places, cities, explore towns I never intended to.
I’ve realised travelling makes you independent. You are on your own, left to your own devices & it’s the best way to understand & learn things. I have always enjoyed my own company but when I travel I feel I’m a different version of myself burning with curiosity & wanting to explore and absorb more.

Talking about one of my recent travels in this post, which was Singapore, makes me nostalgic and makes me want to go back. I was there during Christmas, for a week! I believe it was the best time of the year to visit this place because of the lighting and the vibe it got with it. It was my first visit there, and I honestly thought there’s so much to see in this small city that a week does no justice.

The approach to this city is minimal yet fancy! The best way to explore the place is by going out for a stroll! I did that everyday & was the highlight of my trip. Clean roads, beautiful streetscapes & vistas.

Here are some of my favourite places from the city. I’m a complete foodie so I can’t go wrong with this list! The aesthetics of the cafes were super chill & most of them had a monochrome & minimal themes.

Common Man Coffee Roasters
P.S Cafe
1 Altitude
Bang Bang
Cé la vi
Jumbo (Sea food)
Central Perk
Toby's Estate
Clarke Quay
Food for thought - National Museum
The Loft Cafe, Chinatown
Beast & Butterflies
Mambos - Sentosa Beach
ifly - Sentosa Beach
Spago - Marina Bay Sands

You guys must have glanced through some of the places where I stayed while on the trip on Instagram. I have to say my favourite stay out of the lot was ‘LLYODS INN’. The vibe/ feel of this hotel was super minimal & taught me that ‘LESS IS MORE’ – a lot of greys & blacks. Monochrome in the middle of lush greenery.

The weather was pleasant not too cold but also not humid. So for my outfits/looks I went for basic light layering keeping it casual & comfortable.

Hope you guys liked my travel story, I’ll be updating another one super soon!
