Hi guys!!
Here’s my first travel post featuring Pondicherry!!
A little bit about the place: Pondicherry is a Union Territory town bounded by southeastern Tamil Nadu state. It’s French legacy is preserved in its French Quarter, tree lined streets, mustard colored colonial villas & chic boutiques.
Here’s a bit about my trip:-
How I went: I took a flight from Mumbai to Chennai & then booked a cab which was a 3 hour beautiful drive to Pondicherry.
Where I stayed: Hotel Shenbaga.
Travel within Pondicherry: I booked a Vespa to move around.
I visited/ did the following in Pondi-
1) Aurobindo Ashram
2) Auroville
3) Kallialay Surf school ( Serenity Beach)
4) Strolling the streets of the French Quarters
5) Pondicherry Museum
6) Beaches: Auro Beach/ Serenity beach/ Paradise Beach
7) White Town- Heritage Square
8) Cafe des Artistes
9) Bicycle rides
On my way back, I stopped by Raddison Blu Temple Bay in Chennai for lunch where the head chef served me a scrumptious sea food meal! I then did a walk through their beautiful property & then headed to the airport for my flight back to Bombay.
People were really really warm/ helpful around there. I’d definitely suggest you guys to visit. Best time to visit would be from October- March.
Cheers!!
